Candidates who have completed MBBS from foreign universities must have completed screening test (FMGE/NExT) and possess eligibility certificate from NMC before applying for MD/MS admissions in Jammu and Kashmir.
J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) conducts state quota counselling for MD/MS admissions.
Register on J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) official portal using NEET PG roll number and credentials. Fill complete application form with personal, academic, and professional details. Pay non-refundable registration fee.
Upload scanned copies of all required documents (MBBS degree, internship certificate, NEET PG scorecard, domicile, category certificates). Attend physical document verification at designated centers with original documents.
Login to counselling portal and fill preferences for college-course combinations. You can select multiple specialties across different colleges. Arrange choices in order of preference and lock before deadline.
Seats allotted based on NEET PG rank, category, domicile status, and preferences filled. Check result on official portal. Download provisional allotment letter if seat allocated.
Report to allotted college within stipulated time with original documents and allotment letter. Pay course fees and complete admission formalities. Submit bond (if applicable for government colleges).

50% PG medical seats are filled through MCC AIQ counselling with reservations: General (Open), SC (15%), ST (7.5%), OBC-NCL (27%), EWS (10%), and PwD (5% horizontal). No domicile restriction for AIQ seats.
Allotment is based on NEET PG All India Rank (AIR), not percentile. Higher rank gets priority. Category rank is used for reserved seats. Domicile status matters for state quota.
Fill choices carefully considering: (1) Specialty preference, (2) College reputation, (3) Location, (4) Fee structure. Fill maximum possible choices (100+). Order matters - always put dream choices first.
Jammu and Kashmir conducts 2-3 rounds of counselling. Select "Willingness for Upgradation" if you want better college in next round. If upgraded, previous seat is auto-cancelled. Freeze seat only if fully satisfied.
Government medical college admissions may require signing service bond (usually 2-3 years in Jammu and Kashmir). Bond amount varies by specialty. Private colleges generally don't have bond requirements.
Report to allotted college within 7-10 days. Pay admission fees (non-refundable). Submit all original documents. Get admission confirmation letter. Classes usually start from August-September.
